This is a drawing I did some time ago of my husband and his first horse, Silver. Harold was just learning to shoe, and I was standing around watching and snapped a few shots. Years later I was looking through old photos and thought they would may a good subject for a drawing or painting. The original is 11x14 pencil on bristol board. Some day I want to do a watercolor as well, but right now I am going through a dry spell. I suppose this happens to all artists. Seems like I go through cycles of productivity and absorption. I am still creative through my knitting and such, just not picking up my brushes. I continue to see subjects and compose in my mind, but for now, I'm not putting things on paper.
